Rivaton Translators provided English–French simultaneous interpreting, conference equipment and hybrid meeting support for “Strengthening Intergenerational Collaboration for Transitional Justice in Africa,” held on 10–11 September 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Leadership and Learning Dialogue connected the African Women for Transitional Justice Platform (AW4TJ) and the African Youth for Transitional Justice Platform (AY4TJ). Rivaton’s engagement with the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) supported multilingual communication throughout the two-day gathering.
Connecting Generations Across Languages
The dialogue centred on historical justice and reparations; leadership, wellbeing and resilience; and advocacy and intergenerational collaboration. Its purpose was to strengthen reciprocal learning between experienced women practitioners and younger justice advocates in support of the African Union Transitional Justice Policy.
The programme combined moderated exchanges, case-based discussions and group work to explore practical priorities for collaboration. In this setting, language access supported the exchange of experience and perspectives across Africa’s English- and French-speaking communities.
Integrated Language and Conference Support
Rivaton’s service package included:
- Two professional English–French simultaneous interpreters across both days.
- Simultaneous interpretation equipment for 44 participants, including a soundproof booth, interpreter consoles, wireless receivers and headsets.
- Conference audio systems, including table microphones and loudspeakers.
- Hybrid meeting technology, including laptops, an HD camera and audio connections.
- Equipment installation, testing and on-site technical support.
By coordinating professional interpreting with conference technology, Rivaton supported communication between participants at the venue and those joining remotely.
